Update much? Not really =)

Well we're coming up on a year since my last update. Bobby keeps telling me to update our blog, followed by me telling him to do it. You see, life has been busy and blogging has not been a priority. Since my last blog I started teaching at a new school, got pregnant, found out we were having a girl, remodeled our living room, finished my Master's degree classes (I still have to take comprehensive exams before I'm officially "done"), had to leave work early because of pre-term labor, and then was bored at home (but still didn't blog). I watched my due date come and go, which was ironic since I couldn't work because of all of the early contractions. I think I got royally payed back for all of the times I have been "tardy" places. I think she was saying "haha mommy, this is what you get".

My water broke at 1am on June 16th. Bobby was very frantic, it was pretty comical. I didn't think I'd be the one keeping HIM calm during this ordeal. He was better once we were checked in at the hospital. There was meconium in the amniotic fluid, which put my poor baby at risk for various things and put me at risk for a c-section, which was my worst fear. I tried to labor as much as I could on my own. Bobby and I walked the halls of the hospital for 2 hours before the contractions were getting so bad that my knees were buckling. I threw the towel in and got an epidural around 7am, which immediately took all the pain away. I wasn't dilating very quickly throughout the morning, even with pitocin. I thought for sure we'd (and by we'd, I mean I'd) be laboring into the night. But after that, everything happened so quickly. I dilated from a 4 to a 10 in 1 1/2 hours and was beside myself when the nurse told me it was time to push. Bobby almost passed out, I had to give him a pep talk to let him know that he was going to need to pull it together. =)

Reagan Rose Ward finally arrived, 6 days late, on June 16, 2011 at 3:45 pm. She was 7 lb 2 oz and 20 inches long and absolutely perfect. She is now 2 months old and weighs just 9 lbs 11 oz, only the 10th percentile for her age. But the doctor said it's fine, she is just very petite. She has brought an incredible amount of joy to our lives. I don't think either of us thought it was possible to love someone so much. God has given us the greatest blessing to be parents. I pray that we would make the best choices possible for her, choices that would glorify God's name.

That's all for now. I'll try to keep up on blogging more, even though only like 3 people read this. But at least it will be a means to chronicle milestones in Reagan's life and our little family's life so that we never forget how precious this time in our life is.

Back in July, we remodeled our kitchen. If you saw our kitchen before, you know that it was very outdated. It was the least favorite part of the house for both of us, so we were really happy to do some updating. I couldn't find picture of the kitchen before the cupboards started coming off, so the pictures start from day 2 of demo. We are so blessed to have done it. Thank you to all of the extra hands who helped us get it done!

Well... we've been in our house a month or so now. We are very happy here, it is coming together very nicely. Although we've been trying to save some dough because of our current "job situations," we have still been able to get some stuff done. The biggest project we've done so far is ripping out and replacing our backyard planter. And by that I mean, I took a sledgehammer to the first brick and Bobby & Co. had to finish the rest (Thanks babe!). Turns out it wasn't as easy of a project as I thought it would be. After the new bricks were all set in place, I got to pick out and plant the greenery/flowers. Dakota is quite the little monster and eats everything that fits in his mouth. And even things that don't quite fit in his mouth. So we've had to "doggy-proof" our backyard to ensure that nothing is toxic for dogs. Mainly because we are certain he will eat anything and everything that we put out there- so far he has proved our assertion right. He did get his little paws (actually they are quite large paws) on a sago palm, which is one of the most toxic plants for dogs to eat. The vet said it could be very serious, but I guess Dakota has a stomach of steel because the very next night he ate chocolate cake and has yet to show any symptoms of being ill.
We recently took him to the beach since he got his last set of shots. As you can see, he thoroughly enjoyed himself.

Escrow is closed!

We are officially home owners! Escrow closed on Friday and we get our keys tomorrow (Monday). We are so blessed- house hunting was the most frustrating and draining experience. Just when it seemed like there was no end in sight, we finally got one! I don't have any pictures of it just yet but will be sure to post some this week. Our plan is to paint this week and move items that we don't "need" and then move everything else next Saturday morning before the Heath family Easter get-together.
We have a lot of plans as far as doing some work on the house. We are very lucky that it is in such excellent condition but would like to add some of our own touches. The biggest project we plan on doing is ripping out the kitchen and re-doing it. We originally were going to take that on as our first task but due to some unforseen events, we won't be able to for a few months (which really isn't a big deal!). We are just happy to have the house. Pixie and Dakota will be happy with some more space. As you can see from the picture above, she is not happy having her space invaded and he just wants to play.

We decided to add a new member to the Ward family. Meet Dakota, our puppy English Springer Spaniel. He is so cute and mischievous! He loves to terrorize Pixie, although she isn't so innocent herself. She purposely follows him around to ensure he gets in trouble for biting at her tail. We just love him!

Isn't this cute? This is how Bobby & Pixie watch TV together. He likes to say how much he hates cats but I really beg to differ. She also sits on his shoulders like a parrot while he walks around. Like these pictures:

So does anyone really think Bobby would be mad if I brought home another kitten? With these pictures as evidence, I'd like to vote no.

Our DirectTV is out and no one can come fix it until Saturday so looks like maybe I'll blog more? Or I can work on my annotated bibliography that's due in 2 days. Blek.

To be cliche, I thought I'd write a post about our Valentine's Day festivities. Our original plan was to go whale watching and then to dinner. We got out of church a little late and there was A LOT of traffic heading down to Balboa. The combination of both of these things caused us to miss our boat! So that left us with 5 hours to kill down there before our dinner reservations. Being in our favorite place, this really proved to be no problem at all! We played games in the Fun Zone, walked around Balboa Island, and sat on the beach. It really was a beautiful day!

Then the real fun began. We couldn't find the restaurant but still made it there early. Bobby had described it as "Italian food" and "laid back". So he wore a casual outfit w/Rainbow sandals and I wore a casual outfit (i.e. no dress or heels). As soon as we walked in EVERYONE was super dressed up. By this I mean every man had a jacket and tie on and every woman had a dress on. So I ran out to my car and put on my pumps that were in my trunk. We were definitely judged by the higher-class people we were about to dine with.

Soon after we were sat and given a special Valentine's Day menu with a total of 5 items on it. That's right, FIVE items! Here is how our conversation went:

Tiffany: "HAHAHA, we can just leave before our server comes."
Bobby: "No, they know my name!"
Tiffany: "HAHAHA (again) okay fine. :::Server greets us:::: I'll have a coke.
Bobby: "I'll have a water" :::Server leaves:::: "HAHAHA..Babe you should have ordered a water so we can leave!"
Tiffany: "HAHAHA" (As you can see, we were really getting a kick out of this whole thing)

This is the point where Bobby took his phone out so we could Google the items on the menu. Keep in mind that we are laughing the whole time about how out of place we feel. We are not "foo-foo" people into fancy-schmancy food and wine tasting and being all high society. Not that there is anything wrong with that if I just described you and you are into that sort of thing! We are just satisfied with a hot dog and coke, that's all. (Or spaghetti and lots of it!) So nonetheless, having to Google the menu to de-code the food was hilarious for us. We settled on the "beef medallions", in which my immediate thought was "BAHAHA...It sounds like something you could wear around your neck!". Looking around, I was the only person who had the audacity to order a soda. And really, we were the only people who thought it was funny that we didn't know what "Baked Dover" was. I thought it was some sort of duck. We found out via Google that it's fish. Whoops. Good thing I settled for the cow necklaces!

This was probably the most enjoyable Valentine's Day I've ever had. We laugh together more than anyone I know. I am so grateful for my husband who was able to laugh with me through our day that didn't go quite as planned.

I guess we're not too good on keeping up with our blog! But our uneventful lives might be partly to blame. =) Bobby is in busy season now so he is working away. I am so proud of him- he never complains about how long his hours are. Just another reason why I love him so much! I started back to school so I can get my Masters done so I am keeping myself busy as well.

Pixie isn't really a kitten anymore. She keeps our lives entertaining. She has to be involved in everything that we're doing....she's too curious for her own good! Here she is "helping" Bobby build our bookshelf.

Is it pathetic that this is only update I could come up with? =)

A New Year

The Holiday season is now over this year. I return to work this Monday and Tiffany goes back teaching after her loooooong 2 week vacation! Both Tiffany and I had a great Christmas hanging out with both our families and enjoyed our first Christmas as a married couple. We spent Christmas Eve with both of our dad's sides of the family and Christmas with both of our mom's sides. We then went snowboarding in Big Bear the day after Christmas with an almost empty mountain. It was a lot of fun and something we definitely do not do enough of.

To celebrate the new year we excitingly went to dinner and then watched some TV. We were asleep at 11:30. I had to work the new morning at 4:30am out in San Bernardino so our options were limited.

Thanksgiving= done, now Christmas season has begun!

Yeah, I know... what an awesome rhyme *haha*. Thanksgiving was another busy one- we started off at my aunt's in Irvine and then headed up to Arrowhead to spend some time with Bobby's family. We are thankful for a countless number of things- God has truly blessed us.

When we got home we immediately got into the Christmas spirit. Our humble little apartment is now all ready for Christmas! We went to Home Depot to pick out a tree instead of cutting one down this year to save a little dough (I may have bought a little more Christmas decor than Bobby anticipated causing my compromise).

Pixie was very curious about the tree. She spent a lot of time just sitting under it. Before we knew it she was chewing on the pine needles, drinking the water, and swatting the ornaments. Not to mention sliding across our coffee table and knocking over decorations. She really has a mind of her own. Here she is, pretending to be innocent.

And here she is, proving she's not. Apparently as a cat it is WAY better to hang from the top of the screen door than to look through the bottom of it. Maybe she was just trying to get a good look at the lights Bobby was hanging? Either way- she is pretty wild.

Almost Thanksgiving!

I couldn't be any happier that the holiday season is here! I looooove the holidays! Today we are going to celebrate Thanksgiving with Bobby's dad's side of the family. On Thursday (the actual day of Thanksgiving) we are going to go to my mom's side in the early afternoon and then up to Arrowhead for Bobby's mom's side. Holidays are pretty exhausting for us because we have a lot of places to be. But we love it! We took some pictures for a Christmas card last weekend. I am so excited for Friday evening because that's when Christmas decorations will be going up in the Ward apartment!! On Sunday we will go and cut down our Christmas tree. Then we have a whole month long of festivities to do. I am certain that Bobby is just as excited as I am (Okay, probably not- but he does a really good job pretending!).

We went to Oak Glen last weekend to pick apples only to find out that there were NO apples left anywhere! Apparently there was a hail storm that ruined the apples- this was thoroughly disappointing! We still got to endure the 45 min+ line to get apple donuts and apple cider. Last year we waited well over an hour, so 45 minutes was a treat! It is always well worth it...we love sitting under the big chestnut tree to enjoy them. We still got to pick pumpkins so all in all our fall day was salvaged.

Not a whole lot to report lately. Work has been pretty busy for both Bobby and I. He has already started working late and I have been pretty involved with my school. I am loving working at BOHS... I am very blessed to be a teacher. Pixie has continued to keep us very entertained. Bobby sure loves her! Living in Brea means I get to see my sister a lot less, but we have got to spend time with her and Andrew this past month. We all did the Susan Komen Race for The Cure for breast cancer in Newport Beach with Bobby's work, amongst other things.
We are continuing to get use out of our Disneyland passes... it's Halloweentime at the happiest place on earth!

I am sad to say that the Red Sox have been eliminated from the playoffs. It was a really tough series to watch. I will root for the Angels to win the ALCS, but solely because they are playing the Yankees. How fun would it be to have an Angels vs. Dodgers World Series? Certainly not as fun as the Red Sox vs. ANYONE else.

Our house hunting endeavors continue. I will be the first to admit that it is NOT FUN. There is a huge demand and a small supply in this so called "buyers market." Which means that we get out-bid everytime. But we're trying not to get discouraged because we know that in God's perfect timing we will be in a home.

On the bright side, I can't wait for this weekend- we will be going on our annual trip to Oak Glen to pick apples, and maybe even pumpkins this time! I looooove festive activities like this. And Bobby tolerates them. =)

Bobby would like me to add that he is very excited for the Notre Dame game tomorrow as they take on their rival, USC. Go Irish!

Summer is over!

Well, not technically... but as a school teacher I consider this weekend the end of summer. Monday and Tuesday are staff meetings and my new students come Wednesday! I am so excited to be a part of the staff at Brea Olinda High School! A few updates from our August activities:

To kick August off we went to Christina & Cory Wells' wedding.

We spent plenty of time at Disneyland this month, making sure to get good use out of our passes. Please take note that this picture reflects that Bobby beat me. Don't let it fool you- he cheated. =)

We went to Lake Mohave again, this time with his parents and brother, my mom & Jim and my sister. I have perfected flinging people off the back of the Sea-Doo by spinning out. Always fun times!

We haven't go to go beach-cruising as much as we normally do in the summer but did manage to squeeze some in.

There are already posts of Pixie, but since we got her in August I thought I'd post one more. This is my favorite one of her... she is quite the trouble maker.

I must say, I am very excited for fall to get here. I so look forward to apple picking and crafting and baking... fall is always the perfect time for that.

Bobby and I just got a new member to add to our little family. Her name is Pixie and she's the cutest kitten! We went to the pet store yesterday (Saturday) and we (mostly I) fell in love with her. To my surprise, Bobby decided to buy her for me! She is 8 weeks old and has done one of three things since being here: 1) Run back and forth as fast as she can, 2) Attack her toys, 3) Drop dead asleep on top of either Bobby or me. She is very loving and has a great demeanor. Here are a few pictures I managed to capture from my cell phone.

Well it's already the last day of July so I felt it necessary to post an update. Our laptop broke a few weeks ago so I don't have access to any new pictures right now. This past month was quite eventful! We kicked it off with my birthday celebration. We started the celebration by a lovely dinner at (of course) Spaghetti Factory with the family. Then, we went line-dancing with my friends, always a favorite thing of mine to do! For my birthday gift Bobby bought he and myself Disneyland passes! ***IMAGINE A PICTURE WITH US AND MINNIE MOUSE RIGHT HERE**** Being the number-wizard and money-savvy man he is, we got the best price possible.
This month we also got to go to the river with some of our friends and relax a little bit. We also took our yearly trip to the OC Fair and enjoyed stuffing our faces silly and then people watching. ***IMAGINE A PICTURE OF BOBBY AND I WITH SOME INTERESTING CHARACTERS IN THE BACKGROUND RIGHT HERE*** That, like always, proved to be a good time. My sister left for Europe earlier this month. I sure do miss her! She'll be back August 13th.
Oh, one other piece of VERY exciting news. I got offered a position teaching Honors Biology and Honors Chemistry at Brea Olinda High School, just 5 minutes from the apartment! =) God is so good.

June updates from The Wards

It's been an entire month since our last post! This past month was pretty eventful. To start the month off, our good friends Kevin and Katie got married. The location was absolutely beautiful! They got married in Rancho Palos Verdes in a glass chapel that overlooked the ocean. Here's a snapshot of Bobby and I after the ceremony.

Next, Michael graduated from Mt. Sac Fire Academy! We are both so proud of him. He worked very hard and received many awards to top off his accomplishments.

Lastly, we got to spend 5 days at Lake Mohave with Bob, Teri, and Michael. This is a yearly tradition and my third year going. We had a blast. This is a photo of Bobby and I, right before I flung him off the back of the Sea-Doo. I'm becoming quite the driver.

My birthday is in a whopping 3 days. (July 2!) If you know me, you are aware that my birthday is a very big deal to me. And the tradition shall continue this year. I'm not sure if last year's can be topped since Bobby proposed to me last year on my birthday- that is one for the record books. But so far I have a 3 night celebration planned, starting with my actual birthday on Thursday. Bobby and I are going to Disneyland and both get passes in the afternoon. Then, we will meet our family for dinner. This will be followed by a dinner with friends on Friday night. Ending with a big bang firework show for me in Laguna on Saturday, all for my birthday! Oh wait, that is for America's birthday. But I'll just pretend. =)

Married life.

On Memorial Day we went to the Trevor Win'E Memorial Challenge. Bobby and his team did really well. He hurt his knee but did so well and I am so proud of him! Debi and Rick (Bobby's aunt and uncle) are such amazing people, putting this on in memory of their son. (You can visit www.trevorwine.com for more information!) All of the proceeds send cooling vests to soldiers that are currently serving in Iraq. I did the workout last year but had fun this year helping Bob work the bbq and visiting with everyone. Some think that I squirmed my way out of it because I am officially in the family (cough, cough). However, I really thought Bob could use my help! I just look out for other people! =) Maybe next year I'll be back in tip-top shape so I can join the fun again!

Rewinding to the Saturday before Memorial Day, we got to go out for sushi to celebrate my sisters 25th birthday! Bobby and I were perfectly content with our chicken bowls rather than sushi. Actually, I tried some sushi and we even got Bobby to try a bite! Not our cup of tea, but we had a lot of fun! I love my sister so much and can't believe she's a quarter of a century old! =) Here is me and the girls, minus Brooke & Bree!

Last, but certainly not least, a little story about married life. Last night I made a pretty yummy dish of enchiladas. I made enough to have left-overs to take to work today. I ended up being in a hurry this morning and forgot them. So when I got home from work I checked the fridge, saw the pan and then ran to the store to pick up a few groceries. I couldn't wait to get home and eat my delicious creation! So I get home, put the groceries away and pull the pan out to warm up the left overs. Funny thing, I took the lid off to find am EMPTY pan. That's right- Bobby took the enchiladas (which wasn't the big deal) and then returned the covered pan INTO THE REFRIGERATOR (that's the part that made me mumble under my breath)! Haha, after I grumbled I literally laughed out loud. I love Bobby- he always keeps me entertained.

Bobby and I received some rather disturbing news. CBS cancelled our FAVORITE television show, The Unit! I heard rumor today from one of my students that FOX might try to pick it up. I sure hope so because I don't really get into a lot of TV shows so I'm pretty devastated.

Other than that, things are going pretty well for the Wards! Bobby is in a softball league through his work and has games on Tuesday evenings. He informed me that I am the "only" wife that doesn't go and I felt a little bad. Since I'm a sucker, I decided to kiss my early bedtime goodbye and go support him. I showed up expecting a huge fan-base of accountant-wives, only to find out that only ONE other guy on the team is married. So along with my friend who I knew would be there, White-Nelson had a whopping THREE fans. Bobby sure thinks he's funny! He did hit me a homerun, so perhaps I'll be a good little wife and go back next week.

Hoping for some good weather this weekend. We need to give our beach cruisers a spin, they've been locked up on our balcony for too long now.

Hello from the Wards!

Well it's been a while since our last post. Married life is awesome, although a big adjustment. We have both been very busy, so life has been hectic! We have such a long list of things "to-do" that is getting done slowly but surely.

Bobby just got a promotion at work- I am so proud of him! He is now a Senior Accountant. And me- i'm just doing the usual, teaching and class at CBU. I'll officially have my credential in August. It's so weird to hear my students refer to me as "Mrs. Ward" now. But I love it!

The wedding came and went so quickly! It was so beautiful and turned out better than we could have hoped for! We had soooo much fun
We had an awesome time in Maui... now we're back and trying to get back to normal life.

But that's probably because I waited until the last minute again to get all the songs for the ceremony and reception set in stone. So I've been listening to wedding music like CRAZY and finally made some decisions, with the help of Bobby listening through the phone! =)

Today was my last day of work for the next week and a half- and boy was I busy getting my substitute plans completed! It's hard to believe that the next time I see my students I will be Mrs. Ward!

About 6 months ago I swore up and down that by today I would have everything done so that I can relax and just go to rehearsal tomorrow. Silly me!!!!!! With the help of my sister, I have quite a bit to complete tonight. But not an overwhelming amount.

I've been going through old pictures and got to revisit a lot of great memories with friends and family. Now it's time for me to start my own family. And take the role of a wife. And take on responsibilities of running a household alongside Bobby that honors the Lord. And start commuting from Brea everyday. =) The next time there's a new post on here will most likely be from Mrs. Tiffany Ward.

Easter has come and gone, which means that there is only a week and a half left until we are officially hitched! It's really nice because i'm on spring break from work right now so I have some time to do everything that I left until the bitter end! (Who- me? Procrastinate? Never!) I also plan on spending time at the beach (also a shocker, I'm sure.) so I don't look like I blend into my dress walking down the aisle!
Busy season is finally slowing down for Bobby so he's working more "normal" hours. I think we're both ready to just be relaxing in Maui. Here are a few pictures of our latest outings.

Red Sox vs. Angels, Friday night. Bobby's Uncle Rick and Aunt Debi blessed us with some tickets to see this game. I was stoked to see the Sox in California so early in the season, usually I have to wait until the end of July or August. Although we (the Sox) lost, I was outnumbered and Bobby, Rick, and Debi went home happy.

The annual "Heath Family" Easter brunch on Saturday. We had an awesome time!

On Easter Sunday we went to Rock Harbor's Easter service at the OC fair grounds. We had some time to kill so Bobby and I drove down to Balboa and watched the boats drive by and picked out our houses on the bay and on the bluffs at Corona Del Mar.

Afterwards we drove to Uncle Rick and Aunt Debi's house for more family fun and the yearly "Easter egg hunt" which happened to be the last the Bobby and I were allowed to participate in. The bummer is that I didn't get any pictures while I was there!

Well, folks, we're getting down here to the end of our countdown. I'm going to be moving the majority of my things to Bobby's this week. Except for the things I need to survive (it's surprising, the things I've convinced myself I need to get by), my goal is to move everything else to his place. Bobby's personal space will be dwindling very quickly. =)

So I'm finally getting around to posting pictures from my wedding shower from a couple weeks ago! It's been so hectic trying to get everything ready for the wedding... only 15 days remain! AHHHH!!! Saturday was my wedding shower, and it couldn't have been any more lovely! Brittany, Teri, and Debi put in so much work over the past months to make it perfect. And it was! I was blessed with so many beautiful gifts and loved spending time with my friends, family, and future family. Andrew (once again!) was kind again to take photos of our evening (THANK YOU TIMES A MILLION!). I don't have the pictures yet but will post them as soon as I get them! Thank you to every one who came and made it such a special night.

To end this short post, i'll quote what Bobby said yesterday. It really made me laugh. "Wow, our wedding is so close that coupons are expiring AFTER it!"

Well, I guess I spoke too soon on my last blog! After much research and consideration, we have officially cancelled our original honeymoon to Cancun. I know that supposedly the violence in Mexico is not near this area and away from resorts, but it just wasn't worth the risk to us. Bobby and I like adventures, and neither of us felt comfortable leaving the resort to experience all Cancun had to offer. With that said, HERE WE COME MAUI! Looks like we didn't need passports afterall. I'm bringing mine anyways, just so I get my money's worth from having to re-order my lost one! Anyways, we are both very excited to visit Maui! I have been there twice before and can't wait to go back! There are so many things that we can do, even within walking distance of our hotel. So in 38 days (only 37 till the wedding!) we will be saying "ALOHA" and be on our merry way to Hawaii. P.S. We met with our DJ/emcee this last weekend. I hope everyone has their dancing shoes on!!!!

This past weekend we went to Bobby's cousin's wedding (Kevin and Angela). It was beautiful and it really made us both look even more forward to our own wedding. We also found out that Bobby's cousin Julia and her husband Kevin will be having a baby BOY! We are so happy for them!

Due to the recent turmoil in Mexico, Bobby and I have checked into moving our honeymoon elsewhere. As much as I'd love to see a Boston/Yankee game at Fenway Park (you have no idea!!!!!), the thought of re-routing our plane and paying cancellation fees just brought up unnecessary stress. There is just no way to accomplish honeymooning anywhere else, let alone somewhere all-inclusive, without eating some money. And we all know accountants don't do that! =) So wish us luck because we are going to be relaxing on a beach with angry drug-lords. Good thing we both love adventure!!

So Cancun, in 45 days we will be laying on your beautiful beaches. Far enough from the mafia to make me okay with it. Close enough to consider taking some tae-kwon-do classes before departing California.

An ode to Bobby.

It is now less than 2 months until we get hitched! It's funny because many people have said, "You must be getting really nervous". After the first few times, I just responded with a "no" and didn't think anything of it. But, after hearing it A LOT I started thinking, "Hmm, should I be nervous? Why does everyone think I should be nervous? Maybe I need to be more nervous!" But now, with still just under 2 months remaining, my answer remains the same. Nope, not nervous. Not even a bit. I am so amazingly blessed to be marrying Bobby. God have given me something truly precious, and I value it so much. If you know me, even a little bit, you know that I am a HUMONGOUS (did I spell that right?) worry-wort! I am a person plagued with nerves, I am constantly thinking "what if this" or "what if that". Now, obviously, I am nervous/worried about silly things like "what if it rains?" or even more importantly "what if my dance moves are totally off that night?". But, I'm not worried a bit about the actual vows I will be taking on April 24th. I love this man with my whole heart and am delighted to get to call him my husband so soon! It is a wonderful feeling to have someone who is always looking out for me and doesn't just claim unconditional love, but practices it. He never takes the easy way out of anything, he has integrity. Who could be nervous about someone like that?
I am praying ernestly that God will bless our marriage and that we will honor Him through it. Thank you God for Bobby.

Hustle and bustle

Just a few updates... first off, we finally found an officiant for our wedding! Turns out, it wasn't smart to wait until there are 70 days left until you're married to find a pastor to do it! That was really the last "big" thing we needed to take care of.
Last night I went to try on my wedding dress with Brittany, Mom, and Teri. It ended up fitting perfectly, I won't need any alterations besides a bustle!! It was very exciting and really put everything in perspective how fast the wedding is approaching!
We still have odds and ends to tie up. Brittany is working on the bachelorette party with some help from Lauren. Brittany, Teri, and Debi are planning a shower, in which I am banned from knowing any details of (this of course, kills me!). My mom has helped me with all of the details along the way, we're going to go jewelry shopping to pick out some bling for the big day! =)
Bobby has been working insane hours at work. He is so exhausted, but I am so grateful for what an assiduous worker he is. I know he is looking forward to Cancun so we can finally RELAX!!!

What a relief to finally have (a little) time to be getting things done! The invitations came in a few days ago, so now I just have to get them all assembled. We booked an awesome DJ that I am particularly excited about. Mostly because I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE to dance. Maybe I shouldn't admit that out loud, being a graduate of a Baptist university and working for a school who has roots in the Southern Baptist church... this is a big no-no! Maybe Bobby should be a Baptist. Then I'd have to stop bugging him to dance all the time. Anywho... it was really important to me in particular to have a good DJ because I intend on having everyone on the dance floor all night. Even if I have to drag each and every person out there myself. Even Teri. (that's right Teri, you are definitely going to dance!) We both want everyone to have a good time, and I always associate good times with dancing. So now that i've beat that topic into the ground, I'll move on the the subject of something Bobby likes... food. The last major thing we took care of was picking the menu for the evening. We took Brittany and Michael along to taste some delicious food. It was all so wonderful, but we narrowed down our choices.

Holy cow, there is only 99 days left until we will be Man and Wife! The invitations are FINALLY ordered, my wedding dress should be here next week, and we are tasting the food to finalize the menu with Michael and Brittany next Tuesday! Just a few more things to finish this weekend and we'll be on schedule with the long wedding planning "to-do" list!

Bobby is officially living on his own! We moved him into the apartment on Friday. It was bittersweet to see him pack his stuff up- there were a lot of "memories" that he boxed up for storage and some that ended up in the trash. Despite my pleading, his beloved Jets helmet along with his Dream Team plastic cups ended up in storage instead of the trash =). I know once I pack my belongings and memories up it will be just as difficult for me to part with my things. This will be a busy week for the both of us as we both have extremely important exams this weekend. Along with that, we still have to order our invitations, find an officiant and a DJ, as well as many other wedding-tasks. Ahhhh! Wish us luck!

Wow, Christmas came and went quickly! We had to go to FOUR Christmas celebrations, but enjoyed each and every one. This next weekend will be busy as Bobby moves into our new apartment! It should go smoothly as we'll have help from Bobby's parents and grandma & grandpa as well as my mom and Jim. It's hard to believe that we are getting married in less than 4 months now! We are a little behind on some things so we'll be using the month of January to play "catch up" amongst the many other things we have on our plates!

Well Thanksgiving has come and gone! Bobby and I had a wonderful time with our families and have so much to be thankful for! Now it's time to let the Christmas festivities begin!

This past weekend ended up being quite productive. Bobby and I signed a lease for an apartment in Brea! It is very relieving to finally know where we will be residing. On Sunday we decided to go apartment hunting to get prices on certain properties. There was one apartment in particular that had a great location and was exactly what we were looking for! They offered us a great deal so we took it! Bobby will be moving in in January, so let's hope he keeps it nice and clean! =)

A few things, 1st- I added an "all about Tiffany and Bobby" section to the blog, just in case anyone was dying to know just a little more! =) Look directly to your left in purple, and there it is!
2nd- In addition to what Bobby said about the car accident, I would like to add on behalf of Lauren and myself that it was scarier than can be put into words. God truly had his arms around our vehicle. Even though I am in a neck brace with whip lash and Lauren & I both will be visiting the chiropractor for a while, I am blessed we are in one piece.
3rd- I am very sad to say the Covelli Loyce Crisp (AKA Coco Crisp, #10) was traded from the Red Sox. I will still wear his jersey and would give him a high-five if I could for all of the hard defensive effort he put into the best team in baseball. (The Boston Red Sox, for those of you who were left wondering after the previous sentence.)
4th- Bobby, along with many members of my future as well as current family, are not going to be happy about some of the statements made in #3 above. I love you all! =)

Scary Weekend

Well, this past Saturday was not a night I would ever want to go through again. Tiffany was on her way to San Dimas with Lauren and came over while I was studying for my exams. We spent about 40 minutes hanging out and then she was off to dinner. I got a call about two hours later from Tiffany in a panic. This past weekend Tiffany was in a bad car accident on the 57 freeway. She was rear-ended by a guy who somehow (I will never figure it out) had a brick come through his window and knock him out?! Luckily both Tiffany and her friend, Lauren, were both ok. Tiffany has whiplash and Lauren's back is hurting. As for Tiffany's car.... not so good. We are waiting to hear what insurance has to say, but im just glad that Tiffany is now resting at home and taking it easy since she has all week off with that convenient teachers holiday scheduling! Things could have been much worse and I'm just so glad she's alright. So, along with my family and friends... that is what I am thankful for this week on Thanksgiving!

Well this weekend will be sort of a bummer for me (Tiffany) because Bobby has to spend the majority of it studying for his CPA exam on Monday. Sunday we are going to celebrate Thanksgiving with the Ward side of the family. I can't wait till next week... just a meeting on Monday and then the rest of the week off. I am so happy that the holidays are here. This will be our last year that we spend the holidays at home with our immediate families and visit one another because next year, we will be one another's immediate family! It is very exciting.

In the spirit of Thanksgiving, I thought I'd reflect on a few things that I am thankful for. I am primarily thankful to God for His outpouring of grace in my daily life. God has truly blessed me with more than I deserve. I am thankful for my family, and that the family I am gaining in April are people that I truly love and am privileged to be a part of. Even Michael, my future brother whom I have so much fun aggravating, & I know he feels the same! =) I am thankful for each and every one of my friends. It is such a blessing to get to call both my sister and Bobby my best friends. They are people that I can truly count on. I am thankful for my country and for all of the freedoms it allows me. Even though I think people abuse freedom and are so liberal that moral boundaries do not exist, I am so blessed to be able to worship God openly and voice my opinions. These are freedoms that many people do not have. Last (but certainly not least) I am thankful that in just about 5 months I have the honor of marrying a man whom I have so much love, respect, and adoration for!

Dinner and Fires

This past weekend Tiffany and I went to a dinner hosted by my work down in Laguna Beach at Tivoli Tavern. Getting there was more interesting than the actual dinner. About 10:15 we noticed there was a lot of smoke in the air and shortly after we found out that the 91 fwy was closed in both directions and there would be no easy way for here to come. Then, after I got off work, I found out that there was also a fire in Brea and the 57 fwy was closed. Tiffany quickly left Riverside and had to go down the 91 to the 15 to the 60 and gett off around Hacienda Blvd and come up over the hill... It ended up being a 4 hour car ride! Needless to say, Tiffany was not wanting to drive anymore. Then. we got in the car and drove down to Laguna for the dinner.

Sunday we went and picked out our invitations (I only had to choose between two) and we decided to just relax due to the 1/2 off ash on the ground from the horrible fires! All in all we had a good weekend, but Tiffany is the one who drove so she might say otherwise!

If you know Bobby and I, you know that we are both extremely busy people. With Bobby intently studying for his CPA exams & just about to head into (dreaded) "busy season" and me finishing my credential & working on my Master's in education, we find ourselves with very little free time. I am so relieved that we got all the "big" stuff for the wedding out of the way before my work year started, but that leaves all the tedious details!
We went apartment-looking this past weekend, which was fun. I can't help but laugh thinking about the looks Bobby gave me as I judged most of the places on whether or not they could be decorated adequately enough for Christmas. (I get rather festive during the holiday season!)
My sister has been a FANTASTIC maid-of-honor and went with me tonight to look at wedding invitations. We narrowed it down to 3, so this will make it easy for Bobby to choose the winner!

Homecoming!

This weekend we went to RCHS' homecoming as chaperones! Bobby especially had fun because a good number of "Miss Heath's" students were pretty excited to meet him and incorporate "Bobby" into their karaoke songs. We finally settled (and by "we" I mean "Tiffany") on a china pattern and finished our registering at Bed Bath & Beyond as well as Macy's.

This weekend we went cake tasting and picked out some yummy treats! We also got our registering done at Bed, Bath, and Beyond and were happy to hear that they are not going out of business! We got quite a bit accomplished and, like always, enjoyed one another's company. Just about 6 months left!

Wedding planning is coming along slowly (and I repeat...SLOWLY) but surely. We will be doing some cake-testing this weekend (finally- something Bobby can look forward to!) along with registering for our gifts. Bobby seems to think that we can register for things like "Plasma TVs" and "NFL Network" and not for "stupid China that will sit in a cabinet". So I can't wait to see what our list ends up with! Haha... =)
